Booyah!

I’m blogging from a superly nicely decorated hotel in Nelson. And it has free internet too! No pictures yet but yes yes I’ll put them up soon!

Nelson’s a quaint old town (Countdown checkout lady said so) and I think I must agree. It’s a bit quiet though, no one’s on the street anymore at 6 pm. But then again it’s already dark by that time so I guess it should be a natural thing that no one will be on the streets.

I love this calm and peaceful feeling where I’m far far away from everything I know.

Oooh.

I should invite millions of people to come stay at this hotel at the end of the year, bet it’ll be so much fun just hanging around the hotel.

Haven’t seen much of Nelson apart from the town centre where all shops are closed (it’s Sunday) and Burger King (luckily it’s open, else we wouldn’t have any place to have lunch).

Holidays are so, fun.

I usually don’t reply tags but since it has been dunno how many billion years since I last blogged plus it was karangan contoh who tagged me I shall be nice and do it!

But first let me tell you all about my wonderful 5-week holiday plan! (With a bit of exams in between)

1. Hamilton for 1.5 weeks.

2. Exams! (Actually should be singular since I only have one paper, haha)

3. Franz Josef! Glacier walk!

4. Christchurch! Tour-guiding!

5. Nelson! Picton! Blenheim! 1.5 weeks!

So there you go my itinerary for the holidays! So busy right. Hopefully I won’t be too exhausted when I’m done and can’t even lift my hands/head up to do my 206 circuit board and study for my 204 test!

probably, since she wouldn’t like me anyway so why torture other ppl’s life? it’s not like i’m in a series where everything needs to be drama drama.

hmmm i suppose i’ll like one beside the sea, you know, like in the movies. with a gentle wind and sunny clouds and all that wonderful weather. oh and with every single person i know there too!

3. Where is the place that you want to go the most?
i think, christmas island. or maybe one of the islands with the nice resorts which i cannot afford.

4. If you can have 1 dream to come true, what would it be?
I want all my dreams to come true! lalala i’ve always wondered why the fairy tale ppl never thought of that.

5. Do you believe in seeing a rainbow after the rain?
yes of course! i’m a science student ok. but anyway, sometimes rainbows in the heart are real hard to see.

6. What will make you twirl in your room and roll on your bed and break out in scream or laughter?

7. If you win $1 million, what would you do?
i will put everything into the bank! so kiamsiap i know hahaha. but i’ll make one exception to treat my parents to another honeymoon.

to have a high R/E ratio.

i think no. so, disgusting, and, weird, ok.

10. What is the stupidest (serious) thing you have ever done?
can’t think of anything real stupid, actually. but maybe not doing what makes me happy is quite stupid.

don’t really like cars! i’m getting more and more global warming conscious i realise, but can’t live without my car la so sad.

12. Which do you prefer from your other half? A hug or a kiss?
eternal love, ha ha. (i like this answer! cannot change)

13. If you have faults, would you rather the people around you, point out to you or would you rather they keep quiet?
depends who the person is.

14. What do you think is the most important thing in your life?
real friends

depends on my mood.

i like my taste!

my random emo-ness.

together with all your friends and loved ones. so that no one will ever feel lonely. but loved one excludes children and grandchildren la. i mean like good high school friends and such.

I am tired of living without a clear purpose. Holidays that are not actual holidays, and study breaks that are not actual study breaks are taking their toll on me.

Aim for the moon, because if you fail, you still land among the stars.

20 years I have been on this Earth, and 20 years I’ve enjoyed a relatively mundane lifestyle. Perhaps now is the time to find some excitement, no? The only problem is that self-control always wins, and there is no such thing as letting yourself go totally.

I hope math test comes soon enough, and that I prepare soon enough, as well.

I must say, next season’s fixture list is kinda weird.

And congested.

I haven’t been blogging recently, but I just wanted to say:

Happy birthday!

to a special person who was born today.

Heee.

That I actually support the fuel hike in Malaysia.

Despite the grumbles that result, I truly believe that subsidies by the government is not the way to go, because however rich Petronas is, we should realise that money from oil won’t be here forever. One day our oil fields will dry up, and then what?

All the money that would’ve gone to subsidies should be channelled to other fields, like education, RnD, alternative energy?

We always complain that our government has a third-world mentality. But still, when they make changes that potentially shows their maturity, we complain?

Oh come on, you want to live in a first world nation with third world prices?

Perhaps, we, like clocks, are hard to understand.

Perhaps, now, is the time to change.

Perhaps, one day, we will be really proud to call ourselves Malaysians. 

So my clock died, with a bang. My wonderful, white, colour-changing, temperature-telling clock. I woke up today and tried to see what the time was and it just resetted itself, and made lots of weird clicking sounds. And continued doing so even when I removed the battery.

Clocks. You can never understand them.

Yesterday my lecturer brought his dog with him to lecture. It was. Gianormous. But it looks kinda like the lecturer too. And the best part was that Fluffy (yes that’s its name) kept on howling throughout lecture.

So cute la I want.

Today there was this go-kart thing done by the 3rd pro mechanical students. Quite cool, but too bad they didn’t race each other or something. Just circles and circles. But the go-karts looked quite good I must admit. And fast too hence the lack of a clear picture.

And to end, this is Arie’s bucket. The one he used to flood the lab.

Arie is on the safety and health regulation board by the way.

Things I have learnt so far in my long and prosperous and wonderful life.

1. Never argue with a girl. Girls are always right. They are customers.

2. Never look left and then right when crossing the road. Always look right and left.

3. Always hold the door for the person behind you if you can.

4. Smile!

5. Setting the clock 5 minutes faster may not work all the time because it is you who set the clock so you KNOW that it’s faster, and hence it’ll make you slower. And late.

6. If you can, always wait 30 days before buying something over $100. Because if you do buy it eventually you know that you bought it because you can’t live without it.

7. Panadol is quite good. As a placebo.

8. Free gifts are free gifts for a reason.

9. Reading fine print is fine (pun unintended) because it improves your crapping skills when writing reports/essays. And you can sound very technical doing it too.

10. Laptops are distracting.

This is a question that has gone unanswered for centuries, but, now we know. It requires a bit of explanation, first:

If you put a woman on a pedestal and try to protect her from the rat race … you’re a male chauvinist. If you stay home and do the housework … you’re a pansy. If you work too hard … there’s never any time for her. If you don’t work enough … you’re a good-for-nothing bum.

If she has a boring repetitive job with low pay … this is exploitation. If you have a boring repetitive job with low pay … you should get off your lazy behind and find something better. If you get a promotion ahead of her … that is
favoritism. If she gets a job ahead of you … its equal opportunity.

If you mention how nice she looks … its sexual harassment. If you keep quiet . .. its male indifference. If you cry … you’re a wimp. If you don’t … you’re an insensitive bastard. If you make a decision without consulting her … you’re a chauvinist. If she makes a decision without consulting you … she’s a liberated woman.

If you ask her to do something she doesn’t enjoy … that’s domination. If SHE asks you … it’s a favor. If you appreciate the female form and frilly underwear … you’re a pervert. If you don’t …you’re gay.

If you like a woman to shave her legs and keep in shape … you’re sexist. If you don’t … you’re unromantic. If you try to keep yourself in shape .. you’re vain. If you don’t … you’re a slob. If you buy her flowers .. you’re after something. If you don’t … you’re not thoughtful.

If you’re proud of your achievements … you’re full of yourself. If you don’t … you’re not ambitious. If she has a headache … she’s tired. If you have a headache .. you don’t love her anymore.

If you want it too often … you’re oversexed. If you don’t … there must be someone else.

Why do men die first ?
