So I said to Mr. Fly that day:

‘Oh fly why don’t you fly away?’

And he said:

‘Where there is good food, there are good flies who eat good food. At least we wipe our hands clean before eating.’

Flies are not all bad. They contribute to the balance in nature. Plus they eat what we do not. We should be thanking flies of the world for enhancing the quality of our lives.

Oh what lies I tell.

On another note, let’s talk about something interesting. Let’s talk about studying. Or rather, let’s not.

Sometimes I wish I was studying something heath-sciency. Like medicine, pharmacy, biomed engineering? It’ll be so fun to study, mug, procrastinate, complain about the inability to study. Plus you get to care, to talk to people you don’t know, to cure, to help, to reassure.

Engineers do that too I guess, except that we do it to machines. A total nerd. Students are all nerds I reckon. There are different levels of nerds in this world. Like Daphne Karangan Contoh who went to Tasmania with people like her, she’s a die-die must study else life so meaningless kinda nerd.

Me? I’m a study-also-same-don’t-study-also-same nerd. Which is a rung below Daphne in the world of nerds.

Wan Yin, on the other hand, is the healthy kinda nerd. Did you know that she can finish an apple. Like totally, entirely finish. Like only left the batang (if there is one). It is people like her who reduce the amount of garbage in the world.

Speaking of garbage, we really need to buy those eco-friendly bags they sell in Countdown and Pak-n-Save.

And to conclude is extremely-record-breaking post, a friendly reminder about inequality in this world.

Easter

Have been quite busy lately (hence the lack of updates), but hey, life is more fun this way.

Cari-cari di christchurch was fun, got to know some random people, and walked quite a bit. I realise stamina is an issue nowadays. Adakah I’m getting older and older and weaker and weaker?

But anyway! Life really has been quite tiring lately. I wonder why there’s a never ending chain of homeworks and tests. Don’t they realise we need time to absorb what we futilely try to learn during lecture?

Sometimes I wonder whether I should drink coffee before going to class or just not care and just sleep in lecture. It seems so long ago since I last practised this skill of mine.

Housewarming was last Saturday. And we had easter egg hunt! And a chair game thingy! Which I didn’t expect to succeed but it did anyway. Now to try it on other people.

Uni tomorrow, test the day after. And weekend!

Perhaps a more coherent update then.

I dunno what it is that I’m feeling right now. A bit of sadness which cannot be called sadness. A bit of love which cannot be called love. Hm.

Elections

Elections in Malaysia are over, and somehow in a super tiny corner of my heart, I’m glad. For the same reasons as Daphne Karangan Contoh.

But there are bigger issues in the world that somehow escapes our notice (or rather, we choose to ignore).

But cannot blame us also la. We’re poor students studying our ass off so that one day we’ll be able to earn lots of money and goyang kaki in the sunset.

Ok back to happy things! Like how it was Chiann’s birthday last Sunday and surprise!

So fun so fun.

Oh and it’s not too late to wish her either. I think. I’m sure I wouldn’t mind.

Birthdays are just another day anyway. But sometimes we make it special cos we’re sick of studying and wanna goyang kaki in the sunset.

So hungry now la how how how! My appetite has grown I think. I eat 0.7 kg of food every meal ok. That’s according to the digital scale Chia Siong has. So, my plan is berjaya-ing.

And so is Brian who wants to lose weight. Yay!

When I Am Old and Wrinkled

I hope the remote control won’t look like this to me.

Sometimes I wished I knew how it’ll be like when I’m old. Will it be nice to be able to sit there all there watching tv and spending time with the one I love? Or will it be super boring cos basically youtr routine doesn’t change?

Ah what I would give to know how to live life now.

On a side note, camels are really stupid at times. Although if this were taken in Malaysia, the car will be the stupid one cos it’s on the wrong side of the road.

Ok enough randomness. Time to go back to a boring and wet and cold Saturday.

I wish I could sleep in. Somehow sleep doesn’t come easily to me lately. Must be a homesick thing or a cultural shock thing. Either way, it’s making me real tired.
